Brothers James and Mark Murphy opened Murphy's Music in 1992. The idea for the business stemmed from James and Mark's long involvement with the local music scene. It started as a small business renting sound and lighting equipment to local acts and eventually evolved into the most prominent music store in the Niagara Region.

Murphy’s Music has several music teachers teaching guitar, bass, drums and keyboard to many students at different levels. The teachers are experienced professionals with not only a love for music but also teaching. The lessons are private one-on-one sessions, to insure the best learning opportunity for the students.
